That's so strange, and to answer your previous question no I don't have that issue, Ultrawide pictures sharp and nice. I can upload an example later :)
I don't know why asus as a company does not respond to any threads..... Nor acknowledge any bugs or defects that the phone has..... I made a big mistake of owning an asus ... totally a useless company
Hello friends. After hard resetting and installing firmware again, the problem keeps happening, the center is still blurry. I don't know what the solution can be .. aghhhh
Maybe the best course of action is to contact the service center at this point. I'm not sure whats going on with your phone but it seems like something bricked something in the vendor partition.
This weekend, I will do more outdoor tests. Even so, all this is weird, because I just bought the phone, I never saw anything strange in the wide angle .. and after reading this topic I noticed that I also had the blur .. I will wait for Android 11, and if it continues , I will send the phone to sat.
I have done a thousand tests and the blur in the center always appears. Please @ARP_ASUS@Anders_ASUS report this to the developers, I for my part have contacted asus to send my phone for warranty repair.
My ultrawide camera has this issue too. But it appeared 2 weeks ago... I have GCam installed and there is the same thing.
When I shoot close objects there is no blurry spot:
When I shoot distant objects there is a blurry spot:
Tipically, this blur appears when the lenses are not aligned properly. I have DSLR cameras and many lenses and I've seen this many times. I dropped my phone 2 times and maybe this is the reason for the misalignment of the lenses.
I am pretty sure that this happened when I dropped my phone. Sometimes even a small hit could misplace the lenses and ruin the optics. Even 10ths of millimeter misalignment can cause this issue.
My ultrawide camera has the same issue too. It maybe linked with me dropping my phone 2 times. This type of blur appears when there is misalignment of the lenses. I have two DSLR cameras and many lenses and I've seen this many times. Even the slightest misalignment of the lenses can cause this type of blur.
Here is a photo of a close object. There is no blur:
Here is a photo of a distant objects. There is blur:
I am saying this looks like misaligned lenses to me big time. I've seen it many times with many lenses and the effect is just the same. The blur can be anywhere on the photo, not just the center. As I see other photos in this post, the blur spot is different in size for all of them.
except for the fact that the phone doesnt do this on all pitures. If it truly was misaligned lenses it wouldnt be only on distance photos but on all photos.
It's not true. The focusing distance scales the blur. I am sorry I can't show you examples right now, but i've seen this hundreds of times with many lenses. It can't be helped, nor software can fix it. You will see in time.

@ARP_ASUS @Anders_ASUS I hope Asus developers can review this issue and can find a solution in future updates ..
It's blurry in manual mode?
That's right, no matter the mode, the center is blurred at a long distance.
but it is only the center, as you could see in my videos, the rest is clear.

I think this picture answers your question :)
Sharp and no blurryness

Damn .. I don't know why the center is blurred in mine! 😔😭
I am going to do a hard reset and reinstall the firmware completely, to see if I am lucky and it is solved.
As soon as I know something, I will comment.
do that and update us :)

I'm on the android 11 beta and don't seem to have the blur?

You got it too:
Wrong because the ultrawide has no focus
