Screen filter apps doesn't work when Game Genie is enabled, even if lock brightness is turned off.

Thank you. It works. Accessibility might be the key. The other apps I tried which didn't work do not request accessibility.

I suspect results will differ depending on how the application implements it's overlay function, as shown by the example provided by @ronald1985. Google Play should have a plethora of apps that alter display brightness, so my suggestion is to test around until you find one that suits your specific needs and works alongside Game Genie.
