I've been asking to fix it since last 3 months. The wide angle cam is fixed focused. You really have to be careful to get a sharp image. You won't get it everytime too. I've stopped using the wide angle cam, instead I'm using the panorama mode from the primary cam and it's much much better.
Same on mine too .... Asus does not care.... Move on buddy
Hi,
Try this and share results:
Let me know if this helps is better results
No improvement with any of those 2options. The sharpness as well as depth can't be seen. A lens naturally produce some amount of depth irrespective of the size of the lens. But in this case no depth can be observed.
The ultrawide cam does not have any focus. I tested my ultrawide and it seemed normal, no blur in the middle and I got consistent images, you did check your lens right? Otherwise maybe something is wrong with the camera lens itself.
Yeahhh buddy, I had checked mine. As I've mentioned no blur specifically in the middle, but the images are not sharp at all. Looks kinda cheap as if taken from a 5mp ultrawide cam. It has been like that since the .78 update. Gcam somehow manages to get me a decent usable image from that ultrawide(only in well lit situation, not in artificial or low light), but the stock cam doesn't.
The primary cam is literally excellent. I love the output (except the edge detection in portrait mode). The team just needs to fine-tune the edge detection and look into the ultrawide cam problem.
For now I use the main cam in panorama mode for wide shots which gives me 10times better result than the ultrawide cam.
The ultrawide is much inferior to the normal camera. Specswise it's simply much worse to it will never match the main camera.
Hello Guys,
Check out these photos.
I contacted Service center and they said its some kind of bug and you need to wait for the update to get this fixed.
and the lenses of camera are okay.
I call B.S
This is the stock app in low light no less. No blurspots or similair. If this is indeed caused by software I should also have the blurspot.
I have the same problem. You can see the center, where the trees, is blurry.
Asus will still not listen to you buddy.....
Quite interesting, so this means it's not the camera software itself but something that triggers under certain conditions as I don't have the blurspot. Could you give some information about your phone? firmware version root or not rooted etc.
Of course!! my model has the latest firmware. All official, I never rooted. I have the 16gb WW version, purchased from the asus official website. Greetings!
My guess is that we get blur on long distance shot like he and many others including me are having
This is a closeup shot maybe thats why u r not getting blurred image
1.) on long distance also no blur whatsoever.
2.) the camera has no focus, meaning it wouldn't make any sense that it would happen on long distance anyways.
@Saifuddin Do you also have blur? if so root, firmware version etc. pls :)
Everything is stock in my device
doesn't answer the question if you have blur and what firmware you're on :0)
No actually i tried in different lighting and now i think it noice and not blur
and on .131
Confirms my suspicion. It's not the camera software itself but something that triggers it.
@ARP_ASUS Please report this bug to the development team so they can fix it. I have tried taking photos in many ways and the center is always blurry. Also report the bug when taking a zoom photo with the normal camera. Thanks
