Rooted or not: NOT ROOTED
Frequency of Occurrence: AFTER PENULTIMATE FOTA UPDATE

Right after a FOTA update (the one before the last one released on 2021 ~ Phone has automatic updates ON), my phone started acting up with the fingerprint sensor (don't think is a hardware issue), Factory reset the phone but no luck. Wiped Cache in boot mode, no luck either. Going crazy here! Personally it was so practical for me to unlock my apps and phone using the fingerprint. Please Help!

Hi Jasantana1109
Thank you for your asking. Sorry for the belated reply due to Lunar New Year holidays. My device on the latest firmware version WW-16.2017.2010.101 does not encounter the fingerprint related issue.
1. Can you provide me your current firmware version?
Settings>System>About Phone>Build Number
2. Have you ever drop your device recently? If so, please check the SMMI test
Calculator> type ".12345+=">SMMI TEST>Single Test>Fingerprint Test
If any of the SMMI tests fails, indicating high possibility of faulty hardware, kindly bring your device to the nearest ASUS repair center for device checking: https://www.asus.com/support/Service-Center-All-Countries/
If it is impossible to access the service center during Covid-19 period, please try Call us: https://www.asus.com/support/CallUs
3. Does the issue appear right after any apps' download or update? If so, you may try to perform the Factory Reset. If the situation remains the same, please submit the device to the repair center for fingerprint calibration or further checking.
