I have a zenfone 5z, for about 2 years now...

I decided to restart it, an innocent gesture, because of a bad signal... it didnt complete the restart cycle... and now it wont start... it charges perfectly fine (i can feel it heating it up when connected to the wall, but no green or red LED light)..
I tried holding the power button and volume down/up for 30 seconds each time... nothing happens...
can someone tell me if theres a way to fix this? do I cut my losses?

Hi Coconutthief
Thank you for your asking. Do you mean that you are trying to perform the Factory Reset?
Please try the following steps to access recovery mode for the Factory Reset:
0. Try to back up your data with USB cable. If you can not access the phone, please check if your google account or microSD card have auto backup your data.
1. Power off the phone, then keep pressing "volume down key"
2. Press "power key" and stop press " power key" once you feel the vibration. Still keep pressing "volume down key".
3. Stop press "volume down key" once you enter [Android Recovery] Screen
4. Choose "Wipe data/factory reset">"Yes"
5. "Reboot system now"
