I have brought device August 12 ,2020 through flipkart first sale at 6auhust. I was very happy until i open netflix ,it has vert bad black crush issue even at full brightness ,in 50pecent brightness colour washed out heavy black crush issue is this hardware or software issue??anyway im just gonna refund ....but i asked some of YouTubers they have none issue ,but for fellow customers only have this😓. I decided to live with this but some of units have no issue why i wanna live with this issue for years so i try to get refund and but 12gb varient.
In YouTube crush issue is little low when compared to netflix and amazon prime ,rather than that this dev is beast 😍
I have noticed heat in aero active coller side(40°to43°) always while playing pupg at 90hz,balanced,extream . although I'm staying in AC room 22°c all time!

Watching media content is a curse for Rog phone 3 users as they have widevine + black crush.
They have taken long enough time for blackcrush fix. Now it's time for them to accept that they cannot do anything about blackcrush. And we shall take appropriate actions cos we can't let them get away with this.
As a consumer we all can equally raise our voice if needed. And we are free to post and take follow up for our issues on this forum as we purchased this device. however, there are some fanbois who aren't going to accept the truth. And the truth is I am facing blackcrush issue and Asus has done nothing about it. I am facing problems while watching Animes, movies or anything. My problem is genuine. I came to this forum for their support and all I get from mods is "Asus is currently working on this." and I have been patient about it waited for months and tried to take follow up and all I got is "Asus is currently working on this." from their mods.
Please be very clear about why is it taking months to fix this issue? I don't care about other OEM's and what they did to resolve this if they had this issue.
My only concern is I have paid for "FASTEST AND THE MOST ACCURATE VISUALS" as clearly mentioned on their website: https://www.asus.com/in/Phone/ROG-Phone-3/
So where is it? Why not change it? Why not mention that you are working to fix fasted and the most accurate visuals?
I owned zenfone 5z and that phone never had any issues and also my max pro M1 never had any issues (Ik they didn't provide android 10 but I can live with that)
This blackcrush is unacceptable to us.
Please tell us the status about the fix you're working on and if you are unable to fix this issue please tell us upfront so that I can take necessary actions about it.

if you brought a gaming phone for media viewing, you stuffed up

it doesn't have a great resolution vs a samsung or iphone

at full brightness or even anything above 40% brightness, its fine, and better than most phones out there

name another phone that has 144hz AND looks as good as the rog 3

Well, to the Chinese, 4 is an inauspicious number as it has the same sound as 'Death', hence possible they may skip. Like Samsung, there was no Note 6
