@nuccio I have forwarded the contents of this thread to the team and have let them know that it's a highly requested feature by you and other Australian users.
I have to make it clear though that "really no excuse not to put it in the next update" is (again) somewhat simplifying the process of testing and validating new features.
Don't want to be a Debbie Downer, just keeping expectations in check. 🙂
I'm pretty sure all of us here would be willing to help with the "testing and validating new features" - especially when no carrier certification is required. Expectations should be put simply - just do it
And please do this also with Switzerland
Swisscom / Sunrise / Salt
Beacuse the Phone Quality without it is so Bad.
Another Voice to get ASUS to update the ROM to include VOLTE. I am on Telstra and voice quality sometimes is quite poor.
Happy to be a beta tester as well.
Still no update on this?
Can we expect a nice Xmas present Asus?
Unfortunately its not going to happen. ASUS support has given up on this phone. I've seen this with manufacturers before. HTC had the same attitude to updates, right before getting out of phone business. I'd expect maybe 2 more phones from ASUS (as they are in the works) before people realise and stop purchasing their devices. 1st and last ASUS device for me, was promised best phone quality from a great brand, now looking to buy new phone after 3 months. For the record ASUS Australia support will not support WW ROM at all.
I'm happy to be a beta tester too! I'm with Vodafone AU and no volte here either
I'm thinking this will be my first and last Asus phone as well. Just waiting for a better Pixel to be launched.
I so wish this is actioned. I am happy to be a beta tester.
Got an update today. VoLTE was added for carriers in 3 other countries. Nothing for Australia.
Best specced phone with call quality worse than phones from 5 years ago.
This is a WorldWide ROM. Which means ASUS just has to do bare minimum. Already confirmed they will not support it in Australia. But hey, they fiddled with grey scale, that's important lol. Actually not even best spec phone now, they lost that too.
