Mobile Data not Turning On - Also Really Hate Android 9 on this Device.

Marco
Star III

Model Name: ROG Phone
Firmware Version:
Rooted or not: Not
Frequency of Occurrence: Hasn't stopped since incident
APP Name & APP Version (If your issue relates to the app): One year later since my last post complaining about the English writing and ASUS still can't spell app properly. Maybe I should work there, I already work for ASUSTOR.

Today I went out of the house to go do some errands. They ended up taking longer than usual and my battery was low on power when nearing the end of my errands. I turned on super saver at 5% from Mobile Manager to save some power so that I could look at the bus times when I go to the bus station.

Mobile manager turns off data wifi etc... When turning it back on, it doesn't respond. Trying to turn it on in settings is impossible as well. If you leave the page, and go back into it, it stays off. Dragging down the notifications centre to press the button does nothing. I'm livid. The bugs with Android 9 on the ROG Phone have driven me INSANE but this takes the cake. Now I can't even get back my mobile Internet that I pay for!! How can I get ubers and stuff with No internet!? I've tried turning it off and on again, restarting the phone, resetting networks, Aeroplane mode multiple times, taking out SIM card and putting it back in. Putting it in another SIM slot. NOTHING. This is the worst week for this bug to happen. WHY do you guys have such buggy software! I don't want to reset the phone....

Why don't you just support rooted users and let me unlock the bootloader without voiding warranty? Then I could simply just clone the phone's data and try things I would normally do on a PC like clone my hard drive or save app data.

WHERE IS ANDROID 10!!! A $500 phone gets Android 10 and the ROG phone at $1000 doesn't? You stole my money!!

Hi Marco
Thank you for your asking. Kindly provide the information below so that we can better assist you.
1. Please try System>App & notifications>See all apps>3 dots on the top row>Reset app preferences
2. Also, please try "the Factory Reset"
Settings>System>Reset options>Erase all data(factory reset)
Please note that once the Factory Reset is completed, all data, apps, settings and personal information will be deleted.

If the situation remains the same, please contact ASUS repair center in the country of your residence for further device checking: https://www.asus.com/support/Service-Center-All-Countries/
If it is impossible to access the service center during Covid-19 period, please try Call us: https://www.asus.com/support/CallUs

Furthermore, please understand that the process of unlock/root, in the purpose of installing unofficial rom/app, may cause unexpected software behavior so that the unlock/root devices are regarded as out of warranty devices.

Again I am really trying to avoid factory reset cause I don't want to lose my data. Since ASUS won't let me root my device, I'm really stuck. You have no tools for repairing the android OS?

Dude. you want to try to root your device yet you don’t know how to backup your device?
Besides, root or unlocked process has not low possibility to brick your device then you will really lose all your data if you don’t backup first. and how you sure that it is a system issue rather than hardware issue or apps software issue?
