Squishy Buttons

Not applicable
My ROG Phone 2 buttons got squishy and there is absolutely no tactile feedback from the buttons. My phone ran out of warranty on 13th October 2020. What is the reason behind the buttons getting squishy and will it be fixed without any cost or will they charge me to fix this?

I had a similar issue with the power button. I just cleaned along the edges with a Razor. Carefully, and the snappiness came back. Dirt and oil from our fingers can clog the sides of the buttons and cause them to be soggy. No reason to send it out. Just do a bit of cleaning

Hi Akash Gupta,
You can try gently cleaning the area around the buttons, if there is no improvement,

Fixed my buttons by applying some isopropyl alchohol near the button edges, leave the phone off for around 2 min then blow dry the buttons. Fixed mine!

I'll try that and is it safe? What if the liquid get's inside the phone?

Just power off the phone while doing this and power it on after few min so the alcohol gets time to evaporate
