Black crush issue

I bought the rog 3 on 27th October, and got the latest software update too(.98) .The phone still suffers from the Black crush issue and it's really annoying.Software update didn't do anything.What's the solution to this??
Are you guys just ignoring it???

What do you mean by 'black crush'?
Google it if you don't know. This is a very common issue for the ROG Phone 3.
I fixed the black crush issue by going into Developer options and turning this option on:
Disable HW overlays - Always use GPU for screen compositing
All the weird screen issues went away, Youtube looks normal now and I have yet to experience black crush.

It completely went away for me. I have yet to experience any black crush so far. Can someone from ASUS please comment. Why hasn't this fix been pushed out by ASUS? Are there any issues by disabling HW overlay?
For me, i just follow this and fix black crush in picture, but i still get black crush in video player, but seems better than before. idk why, Maybe HW overlay issues?
