Please tell us some basic information before asking for help:
Model Name:ZB602KL
Firmware Version:087
Rooted or not:NOT
Frequency of Occurrence:Regularly
APP Name & APP Version (If your issue relates to the app):
In addition to information above, please also provide as much details as you can, e.g., using scenario, what troubleshooting you've already done, screenshot, etc.
========================================
The problem appeared after updating the firmware to 087.I listen to music and movies through the browser in wired headphones so as not to distract others. After updating, I found that the sound in the headphones is very quiet at the maximum volume level.I decided that the problem is in the file itself downloaded it and decided to check it in vlc media player but the sound remained quiet. In the player settings, I changed the audio output parameters from AUDIO TRACK to OpenSL ES and the sound became louder as it should be.But in the browser, the sound was still quiet.I already reset the settings to factory settings, but the problem remains.
Please help who knows how to solve this problem.Waiting for a new firmware for a long time is not the fact that my problem will be fixed and Android 10 still has a lot of errors.

Hi pakalodnik88

Thank you for your reply. Yes, what I mentioned above is the VOLUME of Android 9 V087. I'm listening the music on Chrome with the earphones in 20% Volume, and the sound is very loud to me.

A. Which browser are you facing the issue?

B. Does the issue appear in speaker? Or does the issue only appear via earphones?

C. Please try the following steps to access recovery mode for the Factory Reset:

0. Try to back up your data with USB cable. If you can not access the phone, please check if your google account or microSD card have auto backup your data.

1. Power off the phone, then keep pressing "volume down key"

2. Press "power key" and stop press " power key" once you feel the vibration. Still keep pressing "volume down key"

3. Stop press "volume down key" once you enter [Android Recovery] Screen

4. Choose "Wipe data/factory reset">"Factory data reset"

5. "Reboot system now"

Please note that once the steps are completed, all data, apps, settings and personal information will be deleted.

D. There may have the possibility that your firmware did not flash completely. To try the stay-at-home troubleshooting, please prepare a SDcard and try to flash the device to A10 beta then flash back to A9.

Hello Christine_ASUS.
A. I installed different browsers and all had a quiet sound.
B. Through the main speaker especially imperceptibly but which you put to your ear when calling a noticeably quiet sound.
C. I already did it.
D. I did as You advised me and regretted, not only that the sound remained quiet, it took half a day to do it.
Tell me honestly, will my problem be solved? Or should I just smash it against the wall? You understand this problem is not the only one! Smartphone use has become impossible without nerves!

Hello, Christine_ASUS.
On your advice, I downloaded the 432 firmware and installed it, I didn't even check the sound on Android 10, I just downloaded the firmware to roll back to Android 9 and rolled back. Then I updated to firmware 87 via FOTA, and then checked the sound. What is the point for me to check the sound on Android 10 if people complain about bad sound? Well, I will take it to the service center and they will tell me that the problem is software what's next? Learn to be a programmer and write the firmware yourself?

Hi pakalodnik88
Thank you for your reply. Here is ZenTalk forum, I don't have your device at hand so I can only provide my suggestion based on your description and my own devices at hand. How can you assert it is a software issue, while two of my devices in the same firmware do not encounter the same issue? Besides, the issue remains after you performed the Factory Reset, normally indicating high possibility of faulty hardware. If you have any difficulty to provide me the information for further checking. I suggest you to contact ASUS repair center in the country of your residence: https://www.asus.com/support/Service-Center-All-Countries/
If it is impossible to access the service center during Covid-19 period, please try Call us: https://www.asus.com/support/CallUs

If the issue remains the same after diagnosing by the local engineer, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Hello, Christine_ASUS.
I'm not going to hang around service centers, especially in my city it is not. And I can also say that if the problem was in the equipment, my speakers did not work at all or at least wheezed. Plus, I've never hurt a smartphone or drowned it in water. And the fact that there is no problem on your smartphones does not negate the fact that others do not have such a problem. This indicates with a high probability that the problem is in the software. I'm disappointed in you!
