Hello
Does anyone know or have something similar. When using my phone outside, I see a dark rectangle on the screen. What function does it perform? It is not a fingerprint scanner. It looks gross.

Do you have a premium car with a hole in the roof prepared for the sunroof? 🙂

Generaly is visible always in daylight (less or more) .

Hi

The OLED panel in ZenFone 7 is prepared for under-display fingerprint sensor. Of course, the phone itself does not employ it.

This phenomenon can be visible on all phones which have screens prepared or using under display fingerprint sensors and generally only visible in specific daylight conditions on light backgrounds.

That is the problem. I always praised technical support and service in Asus and it's the first time I'm disappointed. I described those problems and sent it to technical suport (green tint and dark triangle). I got a reply - "send it to service center - thats all". So, I sent the phone to service (with technical support case number), after seven days it came back with a note saying "sorry for this ... it's ok".
By doing all that I wasted time that I could have used to return the phone to the reseller without problems. Now I can't do that any more.

If technical support had told me "this is prepared for or that is a typical or modern feature", I would have sent the phone to reseller.
I think customer should be informed that such a feature exists beforehand and technical support should be better prepared.
