I decided to live with this but some of units have no issue why i wanna live with this issue for years so i try to get refund and but 12gb varient.
In YouTube crush issue is little low when compared to netflix and amazon prime ,rather than that this dev is beast 😍
I have noticed heat in aero active coller side(40°to43°) always while playing pupg at 90hz,balanced,extream . although I'm staying in AC room 22°c all time!

Although I am not satisfied with the issue with a $ 1000 phone, the issue did not affect me because I do not like to use the phone while sleeping or in dark rooms.

But I wish a verified publication clarifying this issue. I change my phone annually, but there are people who bought this phone and their salary was equal to 6 months and they buy the phone to use it for 3 to 5 years and now they have a psychological obsession about the black crush issue.

Doesn't matter if you change the phone in a year. I do the same. Only thing that matters everyone expected more from the device and it's not upto standards and released prematurely without proper QC. Good that someone is enjoying their ROG 3 without complains.👍
Still waiting for that detailed post. Wonder if they read all this crap what we write and laugh at us.

Black Crush issue in OnePlus centered around dc dimming and rog phone 3 not containing dc dimming

The screen in the screen tests appears normal, but in applications the problem appears, I do not have it in all applications and videos only in some, but it is really annoying

I don't know which phone use which technology.
Someone told me here that OnePlus didn't do anything with their black crush issue. Which was just not true. They provide their customers with solution.
With recent updates they changed the color values and I can tell you, the colors look a lot different in games. Sure it is playable. But phone is not as advertised. They say it's HDR display with most color accurate. Far from it.

So now I should wait for Asus to tell me.. which time of the day and at what brightness I can play on this phone. Sweet.

Okay, I still get these ridiculous emails, even though they go to my spam folder. I didn't want to even take the time to come here and turn anything off, that's how I feel about this. So:
Once again, since you are too busy on your knees with asus' pants down,
IF ALL PANELS HAVE THIS ISSUE WHY RELEASE THE PHONE KNOWING IT WILL HAVE THESE ISSUES
WHY IS THIS A GUESSING GAME?
WHY DO PEOPLE WHO SPEND A THOUSAND DOLLARS HAVE TO FIND THEIR OWN COMPROMISES TO USE THE PHONE
Oh, and of course: Why do people have to find a forum, come to the forum, post, and hope to get a reply? I emailed a simple question, and got the same empty answers here. I wanna spend a grand, or spend the grand, I want to get some iota of respect.
You're frenching the rear that dumped on you.
We put people on the moon in the 60s, you're telling me you're still "tuning" how long after the release?

Annnnnd.. account deleted.

On this part while watching Netflix on high brightness some flickering lines occured maybe it has a connection with black crush issue it's not visible when not using Netflix with high brightness.

Don't let asus be angry, but for $ 1,000 with a damaged display, a 3-month update that hasn't changed anything, I can get an Iphone 11 for Max, a Samsung Galaxy Note 20, a Xiaomi Mi10 Pro, and I could go on
