Hello michaelrentoy,
Please kindly check if your BIOS and Wifi driver are both up to date.
Does this issue happen with specific Wifi hot spot? or any hot spot?
Thank you.
It happens with any hot spot. My SMBIOS Version is 3.0, and my BIOS is X542UQR.309. How I update my BIOS and my wifi drive? Thanks in advance.

I have r542uq-dm153 with X542UQ wifi device is Qualcomm atheros AR956X , driver version is 10.0.3.462
Yes it's able to connect in other wifi but the problem is when I lift my laptop, the wifi is gone and he needs to reset the wifi network on the laptop.
this is my driver version.
try with different drivers version from different brand site

Is it safe/okay if I use a wifi driver from another brand?
safe , normally .inf with .cat with .sys needed to install driver through Device manager
okay, thank youu!!
