I did factory settings but the problem remained

Thank you for your asking. Kindly try some stay-at-home troubleshooting tips below:
A. Please clean the debris off the port with compress air can.
The issue could cause by various reasons, a reason is that the port has too many debris, so that the port keep mis-detecting. Please try to clean your port with soft tools (e,g. compressed air can) or bring it back to Repair Center for device checking.
B. Do you feel the heat around the port or any zone?
C. Please try the following steps to access recovery mode for the Factory Reset:
0. Try to back up your data with USB cable
1. Power off the phone, then keep pressing "volume down key"
2. Press "power key" and stop press " power key" once you feel the vibration. Still keep pressing "volume down key".
3. Stop press "volume down key" once you enter [Android Recovery] Screen
4. Choose "Wipe data/factory reset">"Yes"
5. "Reboot system now"

I searched for this problem a lot, but also came across a user, I followed what you said but the charging problem still persists.
