Many times windows os adds many task scheduler items while installing windows os, also when we install third party softwares or applications will add task schedulers or in startup items to runn background apps when we use windows.
We don't know many apps keeps running background together with main os, so in Many times laptop or Desktop gives heat , it takes more resources from CPU , so automatically cpu temperature increases.
