Brightness issue

I just got my Asus Zenfone 6 and I noticed that brightness increases and decreases depending on what is displayed (for example when there is a dark background the brightness is lowered and then rises again when the background is light). Both adaptive and auto brightness are off. Need help

I tried to record it but the change of brightness is too little to be noticed and understood in a video. Btw I'm using WW-16.1210.1906.156 (last update)

ok, is it possible for you to take the phone to an ASUS service center or the store where you purchased the phone so they can confirm that it is an issue?
