@Mattias_ASUS Its not the first time updates are slow for Rog3, but I wanted to know if you know if or when the Rog3 will be EOL. It's about time from what I can tell.
@Mattias_ASUS tagging again
@ARP_ASUS and @Mattias_ASUS Please update on this. Bumping this thread.@Mansi_ASUS
The ASUS silent treatment eh?
Think this confirms it boys, the Rog3 is officially EOL.
Not yet, i hope..
There is still update for this phone, as mattias msg me..
He said my issue with twinview is fixed on next update, but he doesnt know when it will release..
He msg me on 21st sep tho..finger crossed there will be an update before nov..lel 😂
Specially security updates are too late. Please update or say if it's EOL...
Sorry for the late reply but I am still waiting for a reply bro and will update you when I have the info, I can't just make up fake info, that's just bad.
I wish I could tell a joke or something while we are waiting but I'm not that funny.
UPDATE: The last update will be released preliminary in November
Sad last update. Will rog3 be safe for banking apps in the future? there will be no more updates for security patches right?
Does the update have the key mapping unlocked?
Also how about the thing I talked with you about providing some sort of base for us developers to build out own ROMS with the features?
So time to switch to a new phone then? This time maybe iPhone, 'coz the way I use the phone now, I need durability, consistency, reliability and long term support instead of use and throw phones.
I heard rog 3 can support security update for 4 years, is it true?
snice the last update is on november apparently that means thats the last security update. And it doesnt look like ASUS has any intention of giving us developers any tools to compile ROMS with their services to run airtriggers etc. They probably want to make the Rog3 obsolete on a software level to make is buy the junk that is the Rog6.
need a little help. what is the best phone for streaming with elgato.
Dont exist, all phones have the limitation unless a developer has unlocked it. I think some samsung kernels have unlocked it on those phones iirc. As long you can find a custom kernel that allows you to you can stream at high refreshrate.
Rog Phone 2: flawlessly 120fps 1080p streaming with Elgato 4K60 Pro MK.2.
The Rog Phone 3 still transmit at 120hz but i am getting big frame drop while doing it, this wasn't an issue on the Rog Phone 2.
Oh the liar has appeared again, still no proof. Stop posting nonsense.
Calling me a liar again demonstrate to me how childish and untrustworthy your statements are.
This forum doesn't allow me to post link so i guess that if you want to have some proof for whatever reason lol, you should check on my Youtube channel, there are a couple of old streams in which you can see that my phone is running with 120hz while streaming.
Ball of excuse this was last time:
i could actually post a simple video but i hate the fact that i have to waste my time and effort because you cant stop your god complex.
Old streams where you streamed via wifi network rather than actual capture card. tsk tsk. I asked you before you prove it, you said you would, then you wrote excuse and now again ure sitting here with excuse.
It's incredible how you keep harassing by calling lie upon lie on me without a shred of evidence, amazing behaviour, almost a case study.
It's even more incredible how Asus still didn't show up with something useful for the guys in search for help about the stream topic. @Danishblunt i am sure you have someone from Asus you can tag in order to get further help about this discussion.
As i stated before i never ever "streamed via wifi network" that is a very stupid thing to do when you have a powerful capture card as the Elgato 4K60 Pro MK.2 and a frigging powerful device capable to mirror itself at such great output.
The ROG Phone 2 was one monster of a device for this purpose and the ROG Phone 3 could still be as powerful as the 2 but Asus somehow decided to ignore this topic despite being a rare exclusive feature, in fact i never heard about other Android mobiles being capable of outputting 1080p 120hz. Go figure
I tagged mattias multiple times but it seems there is no interest from ASUS to focus on the issue.
Also youre still refusing to provide evidence and instead go on another ramble.
Provide evidence or shut up.
It is really sad to see despite paying hefty 50k for this device we are getting only 2 years of software updates! Atleast they should give one more year security updates!
