ROG 5 Wifi not turning on after 31.0810.1226.91 update

Please tell us some basic information before asking for help:

1. Model Name: ROG 5
2. Firmware Version:31.0810.1226.91
3. Rooted or not: Not rooted
4. Frequency of Occurrence: continuous
5. APP Name & APP Version (If your issue relates to the app): Wifi

I keep my automatic updates on and never check the patch notes, however this issue got me to do that.

I cannot turn my Wifi On

Please help,.

this patch says it has supported HK Wifi 6E

possibilly this ruined the wifi drivers on rog5 again :(

my phone is out of warranty now!!

repair will cost around 200-350USD depending on which model you have.

could you help me understand what needs to be repaired here? which was ruined because of a software update?

looking at the price, i assume that it could be the price of the motherboard, well, replacing the motherboard and phone gets updated to this patch - the wifi will stop working again, right?

Correct its the motherboard. Wifi chip dying on the Rog5 is very common.
