Sadly I have no external Docks I can try but they should work in theory, alas I cannot guarantee they will.
They wont. You have to buy the pro dock in order to unlock keyboard and mouse mapping. While the device will be able to use k&m, the mapping wont work, aka it will be useless for games. Which is dumb as hell since lenovo allows you to map any k&m to any dock via their software.
so whether it will work or not i will buy a good brand dock because Asus dock is nowhere to be found
Pretty much, I mean lets be real, good docks can be used on anything, be it mobile, notebooks or PC. I have a couple I use for 2 portable systems and 1 for my phone to stream on capture card. Just very handy to have around, hell right now I need to use one in roughly 1 hour to transfer data from an iphone to an android phone.

You can connect any dock or bluetooth keyboard / mouse, however you also need to download scetchy spyware to map it. Gamegnie mapping will not work without ASUS docks.
If I use spyware, my phone may be infected or out of warranty. I don't want that. I want to play games no one tried the dock? I want to play the game. Come on, has anyone tried?

Sadly the only way is to pray that ASUS pushes out an update that allows 3rd party dock. All the other software that allows mapping are spyware or not meant for gaming. Octopus gamepad, panda mouse pro and mantis are all spyware that collect your information and sends them to china. They collect data such as device id, your location, what apps you use and so on.
Best Buy, just search for Bluetooth mouse and Bluetooth keyboard. Mouse is Logitech, idk the exact model
