Aight, its debatable wheter or not the xmode thing is a bug or not, since there have been some redesigns in terms of performance without xmode and locked refreshrate on xmode, but could you real quick ask the team to merge the security udpate from google into the next firmware? It shouldnt take more than 30minutes since they will compile the firmware tomorrow anyways.

Usually the security update required a lot of testing. It can break thing.
An example is Zenfone 8. It broke screen cast after May patch. Thankfully it didn't happen on the other devices.
I got an answer, the Security Update is scheduled for 2022-08-05.
Sounds weird, a security update should not break android functionality on a single device, either all devices or none. I assume it wasnt the security patch that broke it but maybe a dev hurried made a mistake merging something or similair, since the casting feature isnt something from ASUS but from google.
@Mattias_ASUS anything regarding dynamic theming in the coming updates for Rog 3, 5 and Zenfone 7, 8?

@Mattias_ASUS thank you for your timely responses, and patience and understanding with the frustration levels. I'm glad you were able to get a direct line from the development team to us customers. This removes a lot of anxiety people get when an issue like this comes up, I don't assume you've had experience with developers dropping their software into limbo but odds are good... That being said I appreciate that supporting the community that enjoys this phone is a priority
Mattias you have honestly been the biggest help by convincing R&D that their is a critical issue with phone calls being broke after A12 update, thank you. The "tech support" via email has been terrible, escalations wasn't too bad. I feel like I couldn't get regular tech support and CEO's office to even understand the problem. The responses I got was: It was Att's fault for not using 3g,my cell signal was weak, get a new Asus phone with 4g (that was the best one) It was everything except the update. Anyway thanks, if it wasn't for you this issue may not have ever been resolved.
And now I wait for the update to drop. Soon this sage will be over.

I'm hoping this is a mistake, or referring to the sec patch, and that there will be a "Hotfix" release today to fix the phone call problem as it was mentioned by the Mods.

I got the information DIRECTLY from R&D and I am the one following the case, the information arrived yesterday, the update he is talking about is the Security update that I also referred to in a comment i made yesterday.
