After doing this are you still getting the OLED protection and flicker free features to work?
Yes, all the functions work.
And are you using hardware acceleration now and doesn't face the color issue?
Yes, now I enabled it on because I sometimes watch HDR content, I don't see the color problem anymore
@3dmikee i tried your solution and seems like its fixed but now there is an issue with the flicker-free option. It gets disabled and i have to open myasus app each time a set it again
Try resetting your MyAsus settings - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWuwq6mEI2c
Install the Splendid driver again according to this manual and reboot - https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/203233/#Comment_203233
Yeah now the color issue seems to be fixed but still even after following the above methods im still having issues with the flicker free dimming feature. It stops working at time and i have to open myasus and set it again
I don't use the flicker free dimming setting, but my Splendid stops working a similar way. I use a custom Splendid settings profile with a cold tone display and I have to set it again after a while despite the fact that my profile is still set... And I think earlier if I go into Display Settings it would reset to warm tone, but if I went back it would set to my manual Splendid settings (cold tone). ASCI 126.96.36.199 is broken again?
I mostly keep my brightness under 50% cus that is comfortable for my eyes and also extends OLED's life. But the fliker-free things stop working after restarting and all and i have to open my Asus and set it again. The settings won't be changed I just have to change it and set it as the same as before to enable it.
@Falcon_ASUS any update on this driver issue? It's been so long, please give a proper solution than asking us to go to the service center. We paid for this laptop and can't use it as desired :(
Since we cannot confirm the display performance of your laptop, please send it for repair to confirm the actual phenomenon of the notebook. Sorry for any inconvenience it may be caused.
I confirm this problem on my laptop. After rebooting MyAsus starts with default configurations and ignores the pre-set configurationst of the Oled Flicker Free Dimming and Splendid. The MyAsus shows that they are set, but they don't work until they are set again. I suggest creating a separate thread on the topic
I updated to Windows 11 22H2 and everything is fixed
Wow that's cool! As ive checked now i dont see an update to 22H2 and im still on 21H2
I also updated to 22H2 now that OLED flicker issues is fixed but now the old color issue is back again
Hey, I'm just wondering, is it okay if I format my drive and do a clean install of windows 11 and then download the ASUS driver and install them? Will I lose any features? like does the factory-installed windows have any specialties? @Falcon_ASUS @3dmikee
Just checked HDR and it's breaking colors in the video again! One thing doesn't work, another... ASUS, WHEN WILL YOU FIX THE DRIVERS?! Worst laptop software ever seen
If you do a clean installation, write down on a piece of paper the order of installation of the drivers, I think the problem is buried here. But I doubt it will help at all, I have already described my experience
Also, is there in any way that I can get the OEM windows ISO?
It's sad that the brand is not accepting it's their fault and fixing the software via an update. The laptop is unusable at times.
