Bottom charger USB-C to USB-C not working

I've had this problem for a while, but recently found a weird behaviour about the charger.

The side port is working fine, but the bottom USB-C is not working. Unless you plug a USB-A to USB-C. I was wondering if there would be any explanation for this to happen, because i've never seen a charger acting like that before.
