I don't know what your message is doing in this discussion but anyway it deserves a score of 0/20, if you are preparing for an Ontap administrator exam, recalibration is guaranteed.
The Ontap downgrade procedure means staying in the same MAJOR version, such as going from 9.8 to 9.7 or 9.1 to 9.0
It's not the same word or the same procedure to go from 9 to 8, it's two completely different things.
The comparison with Android is therefore inappropriate and you have it all wrong.
