Android 12 to beta or not to beta ???

What is going on with the beta program,I am still registered for the beta program but tonight I got a fota with what I assume is the stable version of A12 .
The strange thing is the build number is different from the one put out in the media release or on the official download site , what's up with that??

I envy you. You got beta A12 and complaining. I applied for beta A12 and got nothing.
This is beta version. Why you didn't received announced email from Asus - to be (haha) explained by Asus.

I'm not complaining I'm just confusing. I didn't get an email saying that I was accepted into the beta program and it just turned Up. So far no bugs that I can see but I don't even know where to enter feedback if and when I do get some bugs
I think maybe country has something to do with the selection process. I know that the zenfone is not very popular in Australia so I don't think they have many people to choose from. They would need to know how the new OS works with our Telcos I suppose? I tried buying a zenfone 8 when I was thinking about swapping phones and although they say it is officially for sale from a local seller the only one that actually had one was in western Australia and you could not buy it online. I'm in Melbourne and western Australia is about 3500 kilometres away so a little too far for a Sunday drive. Don't you just love the Asus way of doing stuff
you should be able to see something like "Zenfone 7 A12 Beta" section under Phone community, it used to be that way with A11 beta and I'd swear that I've seen such info in the A12 beta application...
Ok I'll have a look around for it , strange though I still haven't gotten an email nor has another beta tester I messaged yesterday. If I hadn't checked for a security patch update I wouldn't have known I'd been accepted
PS no nothing there except more crickets 😉 strange, so far I can't find one bug so maybe they are actually getting used ready to push out a stable version. The best thing, for me at least,is the new battery saving options I am getting much better time per charge now and at least an extra hour of sot maybe I little more but I will have to keep experimenting

good for you you received the update, I still haven't received the latest official one from 2/22...I know I can DL it and install "manualy" but I don't get it why even when I check for updates, my phone says I have the latest one (not true)
what's even more funny is the latest update's changelog claiming enhanced privacy protection but not updating Android security patch (I feel that privacy and security are kind of similar things)

so I just received an email from ASUS saying I was select to participate in the A12 BETA :) my user "badge" was also updated and so was yours which means you're on the BETA board also
Thanks for that it looks like the machinery has caught up as the feedback forum is up and running now. Still so far I can't complain,or report any bugs as it seems pretty solid. I am not a gamer though so I am not really using this phone for all the stuff it can do but I'm sure something will come up . Here's hoping nothing does pop up
