Localised Warranties

  3. Rooted or not: No
  4. Frequency of Occurrence: Permanent & getting worse

In addition to information above, please also provide as much details as you can, e.g., using scenario, what troubleshooting you've already done, screenshot, etc.



My phone has never been dropped or abused in any way, but the screen is failing after 6 months. I bought the phone in Hong Kong, but live in Thailand. ASUS Support in Thailand say a) the screen is a different part number to locally sold devices (which is nonsense), and b) the warranty only covers the phone in Hong Kong (because travel hasn't been invented yet).

Is there any way I can get the definitive information regarding the two points, or do I have to bend over and take it like a gimp?
