ZenFone8 stuck on waiting for flashing full ramdump

As requested by the mod - opening new discussion for the issue.

The Flashing Full Ramdump happened to me too - the phone was being charged over the night and the error was waiting when I woke up.

I hope that at least your service will fix it quickly.

    not impressed as was on a work assessment and have literally lost everything!. No replacement phone, and this is the very first time, i have ever had a modern phone do this and worse still i find out this is not an isolated issue. What’s the solution to this asus, I’m not impressed at all!

  • next ... Asus will close this topic in a moment so as not to write badly about the Z8. you have to use the guarantee, I will try to recover the money, unless I find out from Asus that they know the topic and that the new motherboards are free from defects. Zenfon 8 theme stinks more and more!

  • Mine have been waiting for flashing a full ramdump since friday. Taking its time..

    I opened a G Play store and all went black.

    Tried making contact via chat but it seems they’re closed UK bank holiday. No phone now since Saturday and no support,what an absolute joke!

    Is there any way to recover Zenfone 8? I have tried pressing power and volumebuttons in all possible combinatoins but it never get me passed the ramdump issue.

  • @Gustav_ASUS I have a few questions (public, not private):

    1. Do you know the cause of damage to phones (motherboards)? the topic is also known on the xda forum, it is not a single case (statistically, only some users wrote something about it on the internet)

    2. Have the mainboards or other responsible components been improved in the next, newer series? Are the phones repaired on the same components as before the repair?

    3. Are there global problems with the availability of spare parts at present?

  • Mine just died like 1hr or so. Wasn't actually using the phone. It was connected via wifi and I was using Whatsapp from my laptop.

    It died and can't make it boot again. Seems like I need to return it for a service. Seems like a common issue.

    Bound to happen, and yet they refuse to give you refund. Repair service is also terrible.

  • Mine died as well. I wish they could give an official explanation for this, because it really doesn't inspire confidence in using this phone..

    Asus is just insisting to replace my back cover, and that is just outright not fair. I just want people to know how you guys treating your customers.

  • Saw your thread about repair service quality. UPS just picked up the package from me and I hope that my repair won't be the same as yours.

    Btw do you know what they've repaired in yours? Seems like some parts were changed as they've opened it up.

  • @rafal.osko UPS will pick up the package also from me today. Are you sending to Koszalin (nmc-Pe Polska)? they don't have good reviews, I took exact photos before sending it.

  • @daniel91m yes, this is the place. I've also took some photos before sending it. Mine is like brand new and I'm expecting it will look the same once I get it back.

    Just had my email back today, to say it's been accepted, but no further updates as to when it's being picked up. When did you guys send the request for repair?. Also did you send with the charger?

    You have to wait for the e-mail to give you the rma number. Then you pack the package and describe RMA number and then wait for the courier. I reported on Sunday, today the package was received.
