I also have an Asus ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED i9 UX582LR.
I use it while the charging cable is plugged in. The computer is designed to be used while plugged in to the charger.
Hi there,
You are also able to adjust charging mode in MyASUS.
(Customization>Battery Health Charging)
Thank you.
Hi,
I use my Pro Duo while charging as well. Since the beginning I limited it's charge to 60% in MyASUS.
When I have to use it without charge I raise the limitation to 80 or 100%, before taking it out of charge.
Use maximum 5 hours only, I don't have your model laptop, heavy usage of a laptop without giving rest to laptop for cooling,it leads to hardware problems
What is meant by your saying "Use maximum 5 hours only"? It is my understanding that my UX582 has built-in thermal protection from overheating and cuts back on power (thermal throttling) as needed to keep a safe operating temperature. There should be no need for me to periodically "rest" my laptop for cooling while doing heavy video processing.
It's my opinion only.
Hi friends,
After more testing the best solution of charging while using the laptop for more than 10+ hrs in my personal opinion is the Maximum life span setting (set in MyAsus App):
