Under the firmware A11 to A10 there are the words ,,show all,, hit that and it will pop up
Ok thanks I will give it a try. How is it? Have you found any bugs/quirks yet?
It's running very well. Battery life seems a tad improved. Only lost 2% battery from 81% to 79% over 9 hours sleep tonight.
I have noticed one possible bug though. I have enabled double tap to wake the screen but a few times it has refused to work and I have to press the power button. Other than that I haven't noticed any bugs.
Double tap to sleep and wake is fine for me on A11
I hate to act thick but how do you move the file to the root directory? This is where I always get stuck,I can see the file but I have no idea how to move it
Root of the storage as in directly in internal storage not in any subfolder
By default after downloading it'll be in the downloads folder just move it to internal storage directory
Yes well that explains it
How to move it is my question
Just open the phone in Windows explorer and you will have a folder called "Internal shared storage", right?
So, just drag and drop the file into it.
Do not extract... drag and drop the file as downloaded.
Btw... so far no bugs in my A11... at least none that I found :-)
Looks to me that the sound quality improved, is this possible?
So hang on are you talking about updating via a laptop/ desk top or just by the phone itself?
That's great news about no bugs to . You know all I really want out of Android 11 is the ability to use Android auto wirelessly . Looks like I'll have to wait until Asus gets their Act together
You just have to use the inbuilt file explorer, select the .zip by holding it until the menu appears and then use the scissors icon to move it.
I've just done this and I've kept with the same bug. Notice that I have my phone at portrait mode on the second screeshot but the options and home button are still appearing in landscape mode.
Move the update.zip file like that to internal storage
I used my PC to download and copy the file, yes.
running the file made available on the Asus website "Android 11 to 10", then it is updated to 11? Sorry for my ignorance.
Nope, on Asus global site, you have to click on "show all"
is this the update? available since January?
Ok cool thanks I will try that tonight when I get home from work 👍
