UX431FA Zenbook Touchpad Problem

Hi everyone,

Ever since I bought this laptop I've had issues with the touchpad. It works fine most of the time, but about once an hour it becomes jumpy, almost like it has a mind of its own. Since I bought this for my studies, which involve working with data and data presentation it causes mistakes to happen and a lot of frustration. I have been using an external mouse as we were working from home during lockdown. However, I now need to take it with me and want the touchpad issue resolved. I sent it to ASUS for repair but they did nothing. They wanted to reset it to factory settings, but it was on factory settings when I got it and the problem existed from day 1.

Can anyone help?
