Detailed description:Hello, i've been experiencing BSOD and random freezing lately with my asus zenbook ux331un
specs:
Every time i have to reboot manually because the BSOD is stuck at 0% I think this is also the reason why it seems i can't create any dump file, i searched for three days for them still no way to find any, I have all set right for their creation (also page file settings) in fact if I manually create a BSOD i get the dump file right.
This problem seems to be unrelated to stress, it never happened while gaming but mostly during idle times. It seems to be worsened by laptop being attached to AC.
Thank you in advance for your answers.

Hello zanni,
Please kindly check if your BIOS and Windows update are all up to date.
If you still experience BSOD, then please send the device to service center for fur the examination.
Thank you.
Hello @Blake_ASUS ,
Yes both BIOS (ver 108) and Windows (ver 20H2) are up to date at least for what intel drivers site tells me. I would prefer not to send my PC to service center because I have to sustain exams in this coming months so il will need my PC as much as possible, (I can still use it right if I do not connect to AC while I'm using it) , another strange thing is that i get BSOD only when the PC it's idle or nearly (reading word, youtube or AKF) it never happens while playing games, and as soon as i close the game in 5-10 mins i get the BSOD.
If you need more infos feel free to ask,
Thank you anyway!
1 .i am suspecting many applications are running background , taking power battery.
so delete or disable apps in task schedulers.
disable running background applicationss
Hi @RAJU.MSC.MATHEMATICS,
Thank you I'll try that for now i have disabled MEGAsync and Microsoft/XblGameSave do I need to disble more in the Microsoft directory of task scheduler? (I can provide you with a screenshot of it if you need)
Thank you in advance!
If possible . delete applications under Microsoft category in task scheduler.
only few application's can't able to delete under Microsoft category.
dont worry I deleted many tasks under Microsoft and other categories too
Hi @RAJU.MSC.MATHEMATICS
I did delete a lot of them even if i had to delete one by one hope this solves it if not I'll delete more.
Thank you!
update your work .
Hi @RAJU.MSC.MATHEMATICS
I did as you said and deleted all of them but unluckily i still get the same BSOD, I'm biginning to think it's much more related to AC then before, in fact I used the PC on battery for the whole day and no error as i plugged it in 5 mins and I was in BSOD.
Thank you anyway ;)
thanks for updating .
now I need dump files to analyse the root cause of bsod.
memory dump files in .dump or .dmp formats.
zip the files and upload in Google drive and then share the link here
Hi @RAJU.MSC.MATHEMATICS
As I said in the first post it seems I can't create any dump files because my BSOD is stuck at 0% i tried every single configuration I could find online to get them be created but still nothing. Note that if I manually start a BSOD with WhoCrashed for example i get both the dump and minidump files.
Thank you anyway and Happy new year
use who crashed software , create dump files, share the dump files
Hi @RAJU.MSC.MATHEMATICS
here it is
root cause of bsod are from 3 files namely
1. FLTMGR.sys
2. ntokrnl.exe
3. rspCrash64.sys
so update the above files by updating related softwares,
search those file names in google and take respective action
Hi @RAJU.MSC.MATHEMATICS,
rspCrash64.sys was invoked by WhoCrashed to simulate a crash so no problem with it, for the other two first how you know that is their fault? second i can't see a way to upgrade them apart from reinstalling Windows.
Thank you.
analysing dump files by using windows debugging tools which is included under windows adk setup software which can be downloaded freely from Microsoft official website.
another tool is available in online name of the tool is
bluescreenview.exe .
one more thing, after reinstalling windows if you get same error what will you do
Hi @RAJU.MSC.MATHEMATICS
Thank you very much, last question this crash was manually initiated by me with WhoCrashed so this minidump file refers to it, how will this fix my other BSOD problem?
only few windows based computers with different hardwares get frequent BSODs by installed softwares from user side.
causes of the BSODs.
1. Bad drivers say .DLL files, .SYS files
2. Bad faulty modules like .EXE files
3. Without proper maintainance of windows OS.
Solution.
install only signed WHQL drivers , which can be downloaded from only device manufacturer sites.
I install only signed whql drivers and signed verified softwares from developer sites.
download above file, unzip it , run .exe file with admin rights , post screenshots like below
if you see greencolour your laptop processor is safe or else its fully vulnerable
Hi @RAJU.MSC.MATHEMATICS ,
As you can see I'm fully vulnerable.... what can I do??
you must download the latest intel management firmware v from win-raid website and flash in to intel processor.
you should download correct version for sku processor .
I won't recommend you flash firmware by yourself to processor.
so in this case, you should contact the asus research and development team.
two years I found my laptop processor is fully vulnerable, so I collected about my intel i5 7200u processor history, technical specifications and chipset details . I read the data sheet available on Intel wessite, I downloaded freely and read the sheet fully and I found correct sku with npdm .
and finally I downloaded correct intel ME firmware from win-raid website and I flashed firmware to processor by own risk .
see my previous posts under my profile. you will get details.
Thank you very much @RAJU.MSC.MATHEMATICS,
I contacted asus via E-mail hope they can help me solve it.
Thank you very much!
