In Auto mode (the default camera mode), the camera automatically detects the current luminance of your subject's environment. It uses smart scene detection to suggest which of these modes is most suitable to use:
Low light mode - If you are in a dark environment (Ex: indoors with dim light), an owl icon appears to suggest this mode. Tap the icon to switch to Low light mode.
HDR mode - In an environment with a high contrast between light and shadow (photo subject is in front of a light source), the HDR icon appears to suggest this mode. Tap this to switch to HDR mode.
