Someone please help me i'm trying to downgrade nor update software but it wont let me.

Please tell us some basic information before asking for help:

  1. Model Name:Asus Max Pro M2 (ZB631KL)
  2. Firmware Version:WW_phone-16.2017.2009.097
  3. Rooted or not: NO

I'm trying to downgrade nor update firmware but it won't let me. i downloaded 3 firmware (072, 071, Android 10) It keeps getting an error. Someone help me i've tried flashing custom rom and it doesnt work too. My data network keeps getting a 3g. Even though my friend's phone has a good signal. And i just bought a new battery but its still draining. I'm so sick of this update i couldn't play games anymore

    1. Have you ever rooted/unlocked your device before?

    2. From WW-16.2017.2009.097, you can only upgrade Android 10. Or downgrade from Android 10 to Android 9. Which Android 10 version do you want to upgrade?

    Please try to download Android 10 file from the website>put the file into the root directory, aka the outermost place, of the internal storage>Reboot>Tap the system update notification

    3. Which game app can't you play in V097? What kind of issue do you face?

    I haven't rooted my phone. i unlocked its bootloader. But before i've unlocked it still giving me the"error footer is wrong" or somethin . Im trying to update android 10 manually using recovery.


    I've downloaded the WW_17.2018.2004.424-user

    Pasting the file on root directory means i should root my device?

    I hope you would help me thank you maam

    Thank you for your reply. Because you already flashed custom ROM, there may have some unexpected side effects. Please try hardware reset and upgrade to Android 10. If the issue persists, kindly check some power user website for further checking.


    # Hardware Reset Guide/Access recovery mode for the Factory Reset:

    0. Try to back up your data with USB cable. If you can not access the phone, please check if your google account or microSD card have auto backup your data. 

    1. Power off the phone, then keep pressing "volume down key"

    2. Press "power key" and stop press " power key" once you feel the vibration. Still keep pressing "volume down key"

    3. Stop press "volume down key" once you enter [Android Recovery] Screen

    4. Choose "Wipe data/factory reset">"Factory data reset"

    5. "Reboot system now"

    Please note that once the steps are completed, all data, apps, settings and personal information will be deleted.
