  • Hello Christopher1696,

May you help to update BIOS, the latest is 309 and also check if your Windows update are all completed?

    Thank you.

  • I was afraid of updating on 309 since there seems to be new problems with the new bios.

  • By the way thank you @Blake_ASUS , I just can't risk of updating it to 309. Since I using it for my education, I needed it to be having good performance (Thus I can't just send to it Service Center). To specify what problem I have, while gaming I have this sudden frame drop or hanging lasting for 1-2 secs. That's why I'm where did that coming from is it software or hardware? (I'm using fraps to see my fps btw)

  • Hello Christopher1696,

There is quite a lot of factors that can affect on this issue,

BIOS setting, internet, CPU, GPU, WIFI card....

    Thank you.

  • Hi @Blake_ASUS it seems it was actually worse than I thought. Even with Google Chrome, there still stuttering and it seems may system is also slow. I don't know if this is important but I have windows 2004. Going to update to bios 309 (hopefully it do good for my laptop)

  • I've finished installing the Bios. I've played for a while to test it. It seems the problem was not fixed by the bios update. If you need any information that you might need for diagnosing/addressing the problem just tell me so I can provide it. Thank you again

  • Hello Christopher1696,

Well...there are few things we can try before sending the device to service center.

Please kindly check in MyASUS, run the diagnosis tool.

Or are you able to rollback to Windows 1909?

    Thank you.

  • Hi again @Blake_ASUS

I don't know if that was possible to do. I have updated my os since the bug on the bios 308 as my last option. (I really don't know back then how to rollback bios 305).

I was trying the diagnostic tool, it also seems to be stuck.

I'll keep you updated. Thanks again

  • Hello Christopher1696,

You may try to reinstall and update your Wifi driver.

If the problem still persists, please kindly send your device to our service center to check on the hardware.

    Thank you.

  • It's an asus issue and there are some other helpful threads on this site showing a fix. I've been having the same problems and so have hundreds of others. Seems they want us to send all the laptops back due to a bad bios update. Madness.

  • @Blake_ASUS I have updated it back then and I check my asus there seems to no new update for it, I don't have any problem with it also. Last night, my suddenly thus this while I'm using chrome. I have to use the power button to turn it off.

@gcam83 I don't know if this still because of the bios ☹️

  • Hello Christopher1696,

Please kindly send the device to our service center.

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

    Thank you very much.
