Zenfone Max M1 suspicious app

Hello, I am not sure if this is built-in with ASUS phones, but I just noticed I have this system app on my ASUS Zenfone Max M1 for who knows how long. I am kinda skeptical since it's in Chinese characters, and I am not sure if this came along with the original apps. I searched for the translation of the name and it turned out to be "fingerprint test". Is this safe? Or if not, what should I do as I can't uninstall it?

  • Hi Janzen

    Thank you for your asking.

    1. I just check my ZB555KL in WW-17.00.2003.23, and I don't have this app in my device.

    2. If you have any concern, please try "the Factory Reset"

    Setting>System>Reset>Factory data reset

Please note that once the Factory Reset is completed, all data, apps, settings and personal information will be deleted.

  • I have no other backup space except my phone, so I can't really do a factory reset right now. Is there any other way I can solve this?

  • Hi Janzen

Thank you for your reply. Please try cloud backup by:

    Settings>System>Backup
