After bios update, and Asus System Control Interface v2, hardware diagnosis for fans doesn't work in myAsus. Tested in myAsus version 2.2.44 and 2.3.3...I am worried if there's an issue in thermal management...
may you specify how it is not working?
like it is not listed there, or it gets some weird result?
Suppose I run full hardware diagnosis, it works fine with other checks but when the test is on the fans, it doesn't get initiated. Fans don't start at all for the check up. Fix this issue asap. I am worried if this could cause any sudden thermal management problem.
I read somewhere that many others have the same issue
I am facing this only after updating bios to 313. Asus support told me to update Asus System Control Interface driver v2 to v2.2.32 but issue still exists.
May I have a screenshot of the issue?
I have the same issue with USB ports on FA506II with BIOS rev. 313. But reverting BIOS to 309 solved the problem.
Interesting is that the problem (in rev. 313) occures with Redmi Note 8 Pro but with Redmi Note 9 Pro everything works fine.
Oh and another interesting thing: USB port on the right side work fine whatever BIOS revision is but two USB ports on the left side are making problems in BIOS rev. 313. In rev. 309 everything works fine.
And I didin't tested USB-C port.
Do you have another USB device, other than Redmi to cross check? or the cable?
BIOS 313 had fixed the USB port issue, we might need to dig in more to find out.
Thank you so much.
see this is the issue. Fan test doesnt start at all. And I am sure that this issue is not specific to me, others have also stated the same on reddit
this issue happened to me after updating bios to 313. Asus system control interface v2 is v2.2.33(the latest one) and myAsus app version is also latest(2.3.5).
I upgraded BIOS to rev. 313 again and I've connected my old Zenfone 3 and there's no problem. But with Redmi Note 8 Pro is still the same issue. I've tested different cables but there's no change.
And another observation: I have connected another monitor via HDMI port and when I change mouse receiver to USB port on the left side then mouse works OK until I go to the another monitor with YouTube film on it - then it starts to get lags - cursor jumps insted to move smoothly.
Oh and I have similar problem with my Garmin 830 but after upgrade to rev. 313 this issue was gone but not with my phone unfortunately.
Thank you so much for the screenshot.
We have been working on this issue.
May you feedback the Redmi Note 8 Pro issue to Redmi as well? we will try to see if we can duplicate it.
And for the mouse issue, do you mean the mouse is not working well on the external monitor? but on the laptop screen it's okay?
What kind of monitor and mouse are you using? May we check the DPI and the resolution?
Hlo, I've updated Asus System Control Interface V2 to the new version which was released 2 days ago. I hoped that the issues would fix but it didn't.
Also, there is an other bug which I forgot to tell. When you shut down pc or sign in after the laptop boots up, there is a lag in the circling animation. I have tested in my brother's laptop of same model. I also read this issue on reddit. Just letting you know to fix this issue in the next update.
Thank you for the update.
ok, now you have released 314 bios which fixed most of the issues. But there is a bug in one of your drivers which is causing the mouse blue circle spinning a lot more than it should. It appears everytime I open a new tab in a browser, open start menu, click on a software which is already active and even when idle sometimes. I even reinstalled windows thinking that there might be any issue without my installed software. But, even after fresh installation, the problem still exists. It might be because some background asus driver. Please let me know how to fix this.
IT IS TERRIBLE THAT A LAPTOP THAT IS BEST SELLING STILL HAS ISSUES EVEN AFTER ONE YEAR OF LAUNCH
