Asus not provide carrier aggregation on ASUS ZENFONE MAX PRO M1.
Hi there, it is an hardware limitation.
please check qualcomm site
those companies who wants enable carrier aggregation enable in their devices should pay more charges that's why
this its not hardware limitation.
The Snapdragon 636 has support for Bluetooth 5.0. It has the Snapdragon X12 LTE modem, which can achieve up to 600Mbps downlink and up to 150Mbps uplink. On the modem side, it also supports 3x20MHz carrier aggregation and up to 256-QAM for downlink, and 2x20MHz carrier aggregation up to 64-QAM for uplink.
It supports, but it doesn't matter if the antenna in the device doesn't support carrier aggression.
Support doesn't mean anything, 5g devices sold in india doesn't have the mmwave 5g antenna which means that the device cannot connect to mmwave 5g network which is a lot faster than sub 6 ghz 5g ,but the x55 modem supports mmwave 5g.
And Snapdragon 865 supports 145hz refresh rate but not all device with Snapdragon 865 have a 145hz display.
Even my nokia 6.1 plus with Snapdragon 636 doesn't have carrier aggression.
I am not talking about 5G first of all and for your kind information india is not ready for 5G at all.
SD 865 supports 144hz not 145hz refresh rate with QHD+ display and 60 hz with 4k and not companies uses higher refresh rate because of cost of the display cost.
but nokia 7.1 with sd 636 supports carrier aggregation. matters only cost which can given by the companies to sd using the services of carrier aggregation.
but on nokia forum some moderator also said that nokia 6.1 plus may also be support carrier aggregation in upcoming updates.
1. I gave it as an example to say that not all the mentioned support in Qualcomm's website will be in a device with the processor.
2. I gave mmwave 5g antenna as an example to explain that the antenna also has to support the feature.
3. I Posted it when I was going to sleep, that is why I made some mistakes in the post.
4. As you said, companies give 60hz display for cost cutting, asus also choose to cost cut on the antenna area.
Nokia 7.1 supports carrier aggression because it has a superior antenna compared to nokia 6.1 plus.
No, nokia 6.1 plus does not support carrier aggression. Here is a discussion from nokia forum created one month ago
No, it is not a moderator who said that, it is a user who guessed it on the basis of nokia 8.1 receiving carrier aggression support through software update (1 month ago), but he did not know that the global version of nokia 8.1 already supported carrier aggression.
I totally agree we should get carrier aggregation support in upcoming stable update as it would be last update for this device asus should tick ✅ all the boxes before ending software update support. Pls asus give us carrier aggregation support to max pro m1. We really suffering with low data speed. 🙏🏼
Stay safe
Read the comments above your reply.
Here we taking about asus not Nokia Ok
Did you even read all the comments I wrote?
I gave it as an example that not all the mentioned support in Qualcomm's website will be in a device with the processor and antenna also has to support the requested feature.
Hmm... No way then max pro users will get this feature
I am also in support with Carrier aggregation that should be given by asus to max pro m1 in upcoming android stable 10.then only users of max pro m1 will be satisfied due to long delay and so many bugs in android beta versions.
Asus Developers Are Very Lazy And Pathetic. I hate to say but I think we shouldn't expect that..even now stable android 10 has become an impossible task for them..
Better to ask custom rom developers if they could implement such thing in near future..
