@Gustav_ASUS it's again stuck at 2.96Ghz, and the same FpsCentralContr is at the top of the running processes, now i'm not sure what's causing this.
@nationkid couldn't find your thread for some reason. Try the one I posted above. A couple of the guys here found information about Google being the issue.
You can untick Clean up on Suspend now.
Thanks for letting me know. You could help us out with a device log, I'm sending you instructions via PM.
Hi @FiREPLAY , no offense, just tested on my own device.
changing refresh rate to Auto, save.
open the game, close the game, go back to AC. turn back to system default, save.
Through the process, cannot replicate your bug and CPU spike
Here, Galaxy S9+ with 21.9.47-21 Play Store and September security patch, ZERO problem.
ROG II, with any Play store version, CPU 100%.
Tried to disable "Play Protect". Not solved.
and rog connect dorce close amory crate
Maybe you're right PC again stuck at 2.96GHz
Yes my phone was heating like hell even when i was sitting in AC. I thought i was the only one facing this issue. I am also facing heavy battery drain! I need serious fix for this @Anders_ASUS @Gustav_ASUS
I also observed i have my xmode off and my cpu is at 2.96ghz idle without any games running!
i disable play store and report back
try it it fixes it for me a little
Just to be safe, can you tell me what is the critical temperature for cpu n gpu of rog 2? I mean how much temperature can they withstand without getting dmged
Got log via adb, not rooted, FpsCentralContr is hogging huge cpu time, even after clearing armoury crate's data.
Plus hypercharging speed dropped by like 30-40%, 45-50% in an hour.
One question @FiREPLAY @shreyashshah16 , did you guys do Clear Cache on AC first to check if it causes problems before Clearing Data?
Nope, at least I did full data+cache!
@Gustav_ASUS part of the problem is in Hardwarestub [com.asus.hardwarestub] FPSCentralControlService, this gets triggered whenever you install anything be it from Play Store or a local apk and stays on top of the other processes even when the installation is done.
So disabling the package seems to fix the issue
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.asus.hardwarestub
To enable it back just run the following command
adb shell pm enable com.asus.hardwarestub
The downside is that you'll be stuck with whatever the refresh rate you've set your screen to.
Also, FpsCentralContr is hogging like 95% cpu time even when screen is off. This us really strange.
Thanks for the detailed responses guys! 🤗 I'm forwarding to our devs so they can take a closer look.
When force close FOTAService, CPU goes to MIN again, until next bug trigger.
Please how to back to last firmware ?thanks
