FX506IU STUTTERING VIDEO AND AUDIO
- System: Windows 10 2004
- Battery or AC: 180W adapter
- Model: Asus TUF gaming FX506IU
- Frequency of occurrence: 1-2 times per day
- Reset OS: +
- Screenshot or video: Added (my video)
My new FX506IU laptop stutters 1-2 times a day, I thought it was a software problem, but I don't know what to think. It manifests itself as follows: a strong drop in frames per second and sound stuttering, as if the entire system is slowing down (1-2 seconds). I tried to install different versions of windows (1709, 1903, etc.), this error still remains, I tried different drivers, from the oldest to the newest, installed everything from the official website of the manufacturer (Asus), but it also did not help. Any thoughts on how to solve the problem?
In general, this is just a living hell, because this problem has been haunting me from the first days of using a laptop, I took it to an authorized Asus service center, but in our city in authorized service centers, apparently, only fools work, and they simply could not identify my problem, no matter how actively I would describe it. Also, the reviews about all of them are just awful, someone steals RAM from new laptops, someone else somehow messes up. And that's why I didn't make any more attempts to take my laptop to service centers, lest it get worse. And this question is brewing: HOW TO BE !? I gave over $ 1100 for a laptop that can't do its job properly! And in the end I stay at a broken trough ??? Now I just want to figure out what the problem is, I don't even hope to get the money back for the laptop, looking back at the quality of service in Asus services.
Someone faced my problem? How did you decide? Help me! I am desperate, every day I work on my laptop and suffer this error!

I am adding one more video, which shows that at the time of the bug, the voltage on all processor cores leveled off!
Hello matushkinln,
May I know if the issue happens in Windows 1909?or in Safe mode?
When the stuttering happens, the device is on battery or on AC mode?
Thank you.
Hello! Yes, in 1909 the problem also occurs, I tried to install it. I haven't checked it in safe mode, I still can't find the time, probably I'll check it on the weekend, but sitting for 5-6 hours and watching the computer in safe mode is incredible.
When working from a charger, it definitely happens. When running on battery power, I have never used the PC in this mode.
I think it is possible that it started when I updated the BIOS to version 3.09 (Latest version). Because I don't remember what it was before the update.
Hello matushkinln,
Thank you so much for the update. I will keep track of it.
If you have more information about the safe mode and battery mode, let me know!
Hi, I just spent a couple of hours in safe mode and ran into this bug too, so yes, it is present in safe mode too. But, also in safe mode, I saw that my pc is loading many different ASUS services, like these.
Hello matushkinln,
And how about AC/Battery mode?
Do those service affect any of your usage?
They seem pretty normal, they are the functions related to My ASUS and ASUS system control interface V2 driver.
Thank you.
It's hard to say anything about the battery mode, because a problem appears every 5-6 hours, and my laptop just won't last that long on battery. I'll try to check, but you shouldn't trust this result. In the next couple of days I will write here about the results.
Hello matushkinln,
Because I am trying to find out what would be the cause, the electricity is one of my assumption.
Looking forward to your reply.
Thank you.
Hi, I checked it today, I was working on battery power. But I still ran into it.
In general, it looks like a software problem, because as if some kind of cache or something like that gets clogged, it happens too after equal periods of time. But I've already tried so many things that there are simply no ideas left.
Hello matushkinln,
May you update BIOS 311 and see if it's the same?
Thank you.
Hi Blake, yes, I have already updated the BIOS to version 311, but that didn't change anything (
Hello matushkinln,
Please kindly provide SN in the PM I send you.
Thank you.
Hi Blake, answered in PM.
wlan + spotify ?
wlan + twitch?
5~6hrs occur once?
Hi, I already tried to disconnect the WLAN adapter and even inserted another one via usb, + the built-in disconnected via the device manager, it didn't help, it's not the WLAN adapter and I guess the problem is not related to the Internet.
not related to the Internet
STUTTERING VIDEO AND AUDIO -> play local files?
may i know highest DPC driver ? is it nv?
Stuttering is not related to drivers, because sometimes stuttering is not accompanied by a sudden increase in driver latency. Besides, in the video with the voltages on the processor cores, the alignment is noticeable at the moment of stuttering, which indicates that the processor is idle.
