I too have updated the latest firmware today but the charge still cannot charge the phone. I have to use a Samsung USB 2.0 to USB C to charge the ROG3
@chantzeleong I will PM you with a potential fix.
Hello Asus, what is happening with my rog 3? It's not charging when I'm using the original adapter it will only charge for a few minutes then it will stop. I tried the Asus charger to a Huawei phone and it works. I really don't know why..😭 PLEASE HELP... I also tried factory reset but the problem still persist.

My Firmware 17.0823.2009.98
I think there's a firmware issue.😭 Charging not working all of a sudden
My phone has 25% power remaining and no adapters even other brands nor powerbank can charge this phone. I'm dead....
my phone died already this me also aarongarevalo
I also have the same problem. Original charger not working on rog phone 3 but it works with other phones. My phone is updated to latest firmware 17.0823.2009.99. Help please
@Gustav_ASUS I saw that you tried to PM others about a potential fix to the charging issue. Can you please help me too? Thank you
I didn't get any reply as of the moment, so I decided to bring my phone to an accredited asus service center for diagnostics and testing as to why suddenly my phone won't charge.
@Gustav_ASUS there might be a software glitch or bug in the recent .98 update (due to bypass charging addition/update) that some rog 3 phones can't charge with its original chargers.
Sounds like a hardware issue if your charger works on other phone and not on rog 3 then most likely your port is damaged
There is no problem on the ports I think because other brand chargers worked, but for a few minutes of charging only then it stopped, I noticed also that my phone didn't informed me on a lowbatt status which is kind of weird even below 20% of power remaining which is not a standard for a smartphone. This happened all of a sudden.
Lesson number one, dont trust 100% to them.
Let's wait, I think the developers are cooking something for this issue. I hope so...
Despite changing the Asus USB C cable with another branded USB C , the ASUS original charger does not charge my ROG 3. I am unsure whether it is a faulty charger or a software issue.
ASUS has to provide an immediate answer, otherwise owners have to buy separate chargers and cable for no problems of their own fault. I have not heard any answer yet
I thought you have been reached by asus moderator for a possible fix? I just back read.
All talk, no action
If you got no reply from them, better send your phone to accredited asus service center which I did, they told me that a probable cause of not charging is due to a software glitch or bug from a recent update that features bypass charging that is all according to them. Don't wait for nothing if your phone has warranty then use it.
