Are you sure the phone is switched off or is the screen turned off while in a call?
Same for me but randomly while using device
Its the phone that gets switched off....it will become dead so i have to press the power button

Upcoming update will fix this.
My ROG 3 keeps restarting automatically and randomly, it happened about 4 - 5 times in the span of the one month I've had this phone, messaged on instagram and they said try clearing system cache which i did and also in safe mode but i faced the same issue again today while scrolling through Facebook.
My device is upto date with the updates that came and I was hoping to find a solution here.
please advise me on how this can be resolved.

Try to update firmware to new version ww.17.0823.2008.78 by FOTa and than Factory Reset :)
