We need this feature to increase battery life span because 5z comes with 3300 mah battery which is very less as compared to other phones. So this is a very necessary feature.
5z users desperately want Zenui7.
I hope Asus will consider our request by giving us Zenui7.
Actually that's not possible imo
That's passthrough charging, for it the phone requires a specific type of circuitry to bypass the battery (it's an mixture of software + hardware)
I'm not talking about passthrough charging. I know it needs different circuitry.
I'm saying charging limit. Like schedule charging slows down the charging. In the same way maybe our phone's (5z) circuitry has capability to stop charging let's say after 80% or 90%.
Zenfone 7 and ROG 3 has new type of pass through charging which shifts battery charging to direct AC power connection. Like my laptop and my JioFi can start without having Battery (by connecting the charging adaptor to the port) Those two devices can switch to Adapter power while resting the battery power. (I'm not talking about this too)
Also, there are root apps and magisk modules for this.
Not sure, but seems possible via software.
Ah i see
That charging limit could be implemented then I think
But the question is "if we get Zen UI 7", there's no reply by a mod in this thread yet ☹️
Lets not loose any hope 🤞 m sure ASUS has made a note of 5z users
"Common Say something ASUS"
Pls asus we need zenui 7!!
Hope is still remaining for 5z inside me. 🙂
But then what about bug fix cum new bug update for 5z? Like are we going to get new update this month?
Yes we will get update very soon
Btw as of now I'm using schedule charging as the solution to lock the charging to 80% max. I set the Start time to "3AM" and End time to "2:59AM". (Jugaad). 😁
It works up to an extent.
The time I set is weird because even if we set schedule charging end time to any our personal choice, our phone does charge let's us say 45min. - 2hrs before the scheduled end time.
Weird na? But I noticed that. 🙄
So how many bugs we're going to get on upcoming bug fix? 🙄
Jokes apart now asus should be serious about bug fix and improvement of the software build. As I'm seeing very less chance of having a major update for 5z.
But still I hope some positive news for 5z. 🤞
This problem will be fixed only when you reset your device i had noticed that my scheduled charging started working flawlessly after reset watever time i set operates normally
Bug fix is surely incoming dont worry!
major update fingers crossed 🤞
So many requests so many complains but still representatives from Asus are completely silent or maybe just literally just ignoring everything I guess 🤔@Titan_ASUS @kikoly @Mister @laura50123 @and06tw @CH_ASUS
ZS620KL will still provide firmware update, wait a moment.
You can refer to the link below.
I'm not complaining. I'm just saying that Schedule Charging does stop charging the phone after 80%. So theoretically we 5z users too can have battery saving features like ZF7 series and ROG 3 have.
I have reset the phone before. So no problem as of now.
I'm seeing anything relevant to 5z on the thread which you have suggested us. There people are asking questions only and no answer(s). 🙄
Because of Android 11 and ZenUI 7, there is little chance (nearly impossible) for 5Z. But at least beyond the 18-month life cycle of ASUS products, ASUS is still willing to continue to release updates for 5Z, which is not bad.
I am just a general user and only provide my opinion.
Yes I agree with you that Asus still providing updates but what about those basic features which are still missing? That's why we are keep telling them about Zenui7 or A11 to fillup those gaps which are missing. Because there is no new feature updates since November 2019
Hope u understand 😊
This year asus should change its strategic approach towards market after seeing samsung moving so fast in this competative market they decided to go with 3 years of major updates to flagships also they decided to support midrangers to atleast one UI updates
ASUS should think something diffrent for its flagships as well there are not much devices comparing to samsung or any other OEMS so it should be easy for asus to take there time but update there flagships atleast zenui or android 11 to various models i guess if they add 5z to list there are not much devices number of devices needs to be updated goes to just 5 so i dont think its hard for ASUS
zenfone 7 series
