ivanmania_10, u using tencent rog 2 version ?
I'll repeat what I said in my earlier post in this thread for newcomers who might have missed it:
If you're frequently running into freeze/restart issues, please visit a local service center and get your device looked at.
I'm also facing same issue on my ROG Phone2. After two months observation I've fond some Root causes from my perspective for @Gustav_ASUS reference.
This problem was not happen for upgrading OS, because i face this issue before upgrade also.
The problem is Temperature controlling. If temperature get more then 40°C mobile get switched off suddenly. below steps is my observation.
So these all are my observation, Please take into your road map and please fix this ASAP.
It's really sad honestly, that ASUS's solution to their garbage thermal setup is by including an external cooling fan, which doesn't do shit anyway.
What's even more sad is that as more of these phones continue to blackout permanently, ASUS is charging people to fix something that is the manufacturer's fault.
I would have continued to support the phone had I received adequate customer service, but because of this ASUS scam I've decided to go with OnePlus, who I've heard rave reviews about.
Yes i agree with you, i don't think ASUS will acknowledge all these problems because they just came out ROG 3. Service center is the only thing they can think of.
I am getting OnePlus 8 pro. Cheers!
Excellent decision friend! I am actually in shock that they released a ROG III so quickly right after the ROG II. There are still some serious issues that never got fixed, I won't be surprised if the ROG III flops too.
Same in my phone power off during charging
plz help phone shutting down at 40 degree celsius. My phone was repaired from a local service center and he told that the problem is gone. But the problem is still threre .plz help
I suggest you take your phone back and get it done/checked. If it was a warranty repair you had, I would definately recommend taking the phone back.
On another thread you mentioned you have a damaged screen. You should take your phone to a service centre if it's damaged otherwise, you can't use your phone.
Yes, my device is also have similar issue when playing game. It just immediately got locked when on gaming or shutting down while charging.
Same problem for me. Been experiencing forced shut down of device while charging even if its idle(lock screen). When i try to switch-on sometimes battery level fluctuates( on the first start after shutdown shows 60% then when it shut down again and turned-on will show lesser battery level. *take note this happens while charging and phone is in lock screen). This problem started since the Android 10 update. otherwise before the update phone runs smooth even on games while charging and on maximum graphics and performance settings. Guess its just asus strategy to promote ROG III? same how apple slows down old device in order for people to switch to newer models.
Okay guys i think i found some solution. I tried using oppo charger while playing on maximum display and performance. did not encounter forced shutdown of the device. guess this fix the problem temporarily until the devs releases a fix(if that will EVER HAPPEN). Props to support to who did not try any fix but always suggest to bring to the nearest service center. THAT REALLY HELP A LOT! LOL
Guys Who are all having this black screen and shutdown while charging and gaming issue take your device to the service center it's a hardware issue, I also have this same problem and my device is fix now it's running properly (My device is fix in banglore Service center)
Same issue for me
Hi @kirankumar17897 ,
Can you tell me the loaction of the service centre you visited? Am currently at my native and will try to visit it once I am back at Bangalore.
Also how much time did it take to get it fixed? Any particular issue that they may have mentioned at the service centre?
