windows hello fingerprint this option is currently unavailable

Detailed description:

When I go to Settings ->Set up Fingerprint sign-in, it now says: 'This option is currently unavailable - click to learn more'.

This is the same for the face recognition or the pincode option.

I tried most solutions , but it didn't work.

Does anybody know any solutions. I just bought and installed this new laptop.

    Please make sure that your Windows update has been completed and your Windows account has been fully set up as well.

    You may try to set up PIN first.

    May I know if you install your own OS ?

    Hello

    All updates are done.

    Just started up the new laptop with original asus win10.

    I could activate the pin code and fingerprint when installing windows.

    Now we want to add a new fingerprint and this is what i see

    Set up Fingerprint sign-in, it now says: 'This option is currently unavailable

    Also change pin and face recognition is currently unavailable.

    Where can i see if my windows account is complete?

    I think password is set.

    May you click any of the Windows Hello option and let me see if there is more error message?

    And just double checking, your Windows is on 1909 right?

    Only possibility is to select 'click to learn more'


  • Was there any solvincy with this issue? I'm having the same issue (my vivobook is a week old :/).

  • I also have brand-new X412. It's bugging, but worked before. Until i updated Windows.

    I went to Device Manager > View > Show hidden devices, the Biometrics said "not connected to the computer (Code 45)"

    Wondering to Roll Back or Uninstall..

  • now go device manager , uninstall current driver ,

    update the fingerprint driver through windows update.


    or else create new administrator account , then setup fingerprint again
