Netflix not in HD after Android 10 update on Zenfone 5z

Firmware/APP Version: Android 10

Hello Asus team,

Netflix came with hd support on Zenfone 5z on Android pie but as soon as phone updated to Android 10, hd support is not there.

Can you please help.

  • Same problem here, the same thing happenend when they updated from Android 8 to Android 9
  • This isn't upgrade but downgrade as all good apps from zenimoji to pagemarker to AI charging etc removed plus above non hd content!

    True!! How can we downgrade back to android 9? i know that for beta testers was an option, but they said that we can't downgrade from the oficial firmware...

    Yeah, and i asked for support and they said we can't return to android 9, since there is no official downgrade from the android 10 to android 9, except the one from Beta.....

    That's why you should have read changelog before updating ,I read it n knew it's gonna make Zenfone5z worst than ever

    the changelog didn't say anything about this, the rest is okay so far

    Is there a fix already? DRM shows L1, but netflix shows L3.

    EU phone (Portugal) running the latest version of Android available in the website: 100.10.107.70_20200320

    Netflix HD is fixed alredy in .46 update

    Try to clear cache n storage for netflix from apps and notifications option in settings and then relogin ur issue will be solved

    If not re-install netflix app and then check

    Thanks. I had previously cleared the cache, following the same steps to no avail. But now I did it as well the clearing of the storage. Started the APP and managed to configure it to enable HD. Confirmed it by downloading EP01 of SnowPiercer that now takes 480mb, little over double of what I was getting.
