  • Hello jayesanjuan,

    Good day.
    Is there any error message pop up when you encounter this problem?
    Does this problem appear under safe mode?
    In safe mode, only the factory pre-installed applications will be loaded.
    For instructions, please refer to the link below:

    I've checked this matter as below conditions but I can not find out this problem on the latest version.
    (1.) 102 version
    (2.) Camera version: 4.2.11.4
    (3.) System language: English
    (4.) Earpiece shipped with ZE620KL.
    I would suggest you can try to use the stock Earpiece for a check.

    Thank you. :)

    Hello kingghaffar76,

    Good day,
    Could you help me to check the firmware has updated to WW-16.0615.1905.102? Camera version: 4.2.11.4?
    If yes, Could you tell me where do you save your videos? ( e.g internal storage or SD card)
    Please also show me your system language settings.
    I've texted you by PM, please kindly check it out.

    Thank you.

    Hello kingghaffar76,

    Good day,

    Hi Emilee_ASUS,

    You need to replicate this issue by doing this step.

    1. plug your earphone before open camera app
    2. open the camera app
    3. start recording.

    It will show the message "Cannot Record Video". and it will not show error if you plug your earphone when you are in the camera app.

    Thank you

    Hi Ferdy Sopian,

    Thank you for your information.
    Does this problem appear after restoring the camera settings to default?
    Were you using any app to listen to media when you opened the camera to record at the same time?
    Please also check your PM for a message I have sent you.
    Thank you :)

    Hi all,

    Could you tell us does this problem happen every time?
    Could you check if this could improve the problem?
    --> When this problem appears, please try clearing other apps in recent app list, wait for a moment for the apps to be cleared, and then check if you can record normally.

    Thank you :)
  • Hi all,

    After the relevant team's investigation, this issue may be caused by Google related apps.
    If you are experiencing this issue, we would suggest that you first clear the background apps in recent app list.
    However, some services may still be running in the background and cannot be cleared.
    In this case, we would advise that users try:
    1) Update Google related apps.
    2) Check if other recorder apps are failing to work as well.
    3) Tap and hold the home button to launch Google Assistant and make sure the Google Assistant's Mic is working normally without being stuck. Then, close Google Assistant.

    Lastly, you may check if the camera recording is working normally.

    Thank you. :)
  • I just updated the system earlier hoping that this year-long error would be resolved. To my disappointment, still I cannot record videos when my earphones is on. . . If I won't get a response again with this, you just lost another customer.

    Note:

    I updated all google apps;

    other recording apps like ASUS sound recorder, band lab, mp3 sound recorder, works perfectly fine;

    Google assistant's mic works;

    email me at [email protected] for answers please.

  • It's incredible ....more than one year to solve a stupid problem...and it is here yet....

    Only stock camera has this problem...no one single other camera app has...no other app in general. But it seems for Asus easier give a stupid and useless answer than try to solve....i use Google cam....much better....and it supports very well our device.

    Asus lost me since the second month of use....
