I keep trying to answer incoming calls by raising my new Zenfone 6 to the ear (just like I did it on my LG 4 before) but it only works maybe 1 out 10 times, instead it just rings on. Any suggestions please?

When I tested this gesture, I had the same experience. I am not saying that it was functional only in one in ten cases, nor did I count it, but it was very inconsistent.

Finally, I found a Smart Key option that allows you to answer a call with a smart button. This is 100% functional.

Another issue: my ZenFone 6 quickly connects via bluetooth to the car stereo so I can use the phone hands free and the sound quality is OK. After a few minutes, however, I can only hear the other party via the phone's own speaker, not the car's loudspeakers. This is again something I never experienced with my LG G4.

not possible as of now.. this has been discussed since pie... they say its stock android behavior... not sure if they are going to work it out..
