Like everyone else i have the issue where my left trigger fires even when i touch the back of my phone.
This happens once the phone is heated ie. after playing for 10mins. I had given my phone for servicing to Asus but it came back as is.
But, this is clearly a hardware issue as it only occurs when the phone is hot.
Also, attaching a video showing the same for reference.
Video with the same issue.
i am facing fingerprint sensor issue and both Air trigger button when i play pub g
They are not doing anything for this issue. With every update they said it's done or the problem has been solved but nothing changed. Service center is pure shit as they don't know much about the phone yet. I will never recommend any anybody to buy asus. A big regret and waste of money after buying it.
hope the nxt update will fix this.
For people facing an issue with trigger working even when you touch the back of the phone.
I've found out a lame but working solution for now. I recently ordered and applied a skin for my phone.
Turns out, the trigger does not fire now when i touch the back of my phone (now with the skin). So look for some material and place it at the back of your phone (a piece of thick paper) and try if the trigger works then. If not, Voila! ? Just buy a skin or a small paper cutout.
I know this is not a permanent solution, but a temporary fix until the team
comes up with a solution.
Please try and let me know if this works for you.
This is a similar but separate issue. If your Air Trigger is activating when you touch the back of the phone, that indicates a hardware issue and we recommend you visit a service center. I understand that you have already had the phone repaired, but if you are still seeing the issue you will need to have it repaired again.
What percentage of the time is it happening compared to before? 25, 50%? Is it after long gaming sessions when the phone is hot, or at any time? What kind of feedback can you give us about before and after the software fix?
Does it only happen in some games, or each one?
If it is a known hardware issue, why are so many people out there facing the same issue? And if the Asus executive already not able to solve the problem, how is visiting again going to solve it?
From what I have been seeing, there aren't that many people with your issue. Quite a few people were reporting the issue that got at least mitigated by the software update, but I am waiting for more confirmation from other users. Your hardware issue seems much less common.
Specifying exactly what is going on, and letting them know what was repaired the first time that did not resolve the issue is a good start. Let them know this only happens after 10 minutes for you, and never at room temperature. The more information you can give them, the more likely they are to find the root of the issue and fix the right part.

There is an entire post with people facing the same issue. So i'm pretty sure its a manufacturing defect or a defective lot of phones handed over to a few of us.
My phone travels 1032 kms here in India before it gets serviced there are no local stores here that fix ROG phones.
It is extremely difficult for me to explain the problem over call. But i hear you. However, if it is a specific hardware issue that a lot of us are facing, we deserve a phone replacement as it is evidently a manufacturing defect.
You're right about that thread, I missed that one.
I hear you on it being difficult to get the unit repaired, and I sympathize. Heck, even if it was easy getting the unit repaired twice in the first few months of use is not an ideal situation. I can only advise you on what the warranty terms are for your device and the best course of action moving forward, and it looks like that solution will be to seek out the repair center again.
I'll post on that thread as well and advise those customers to seek out a hardware repair as well.
I have given my phone to the service center again today. Will keep you posted once i get a call from them. Thanks for the help.
Hi. You need to set sensitivity to maximum. Got to armory crate -air triggers - and set the sensitivity to maximum by tapping as light as you can .and disable the option rest finger on triggers .
The right air trigger has serious issues. I tried using them in PUBG for 4-5 hours continuously. The left AT worked like a charm while the right air trigger could never fire consistently for even 3 seconds. I have done all the nifty tricks like factory resetting/resetting/all possible change in settings in armory crate and pubg settings.
Can i do anything else now?
Yes, I have the same issue after the last upgrade
ASUS Service center confirmed that its a hardware issue and its with the faulty motherboard. My motherboard is being replaced and that should hopefully solve the issue as they say.
Should be receiving my phone in a couple of days. Shall keep you posted about the issue once i receive the phone.
Thank you for your help and recommendations
I'd like to log your phone in this case. If you're OK with creating a log for us to review, reply to this post and I'll send you a PM with instructions.
