[Phone/Pad] Troubleshooting - Dysfunction of GPS

GPS cannot activate the locating function

Please refer to the following steps for troubleshooting:



1. Make sure the locating function is turned on from [Setting] -> [ Location ] 



2. Wait 5 to 10 minutes in a wide-open, outdoor location when attempting to receive the satellite signal. Avoid areas that may obstruct the satellite signal (i.e. tall buildings).



3. Update firmware to latest version: Go to Settings > About > System update > Check Update.



4. How to Enter and Exit Safe Mode on Android phone? : If [Location] can be normally used under the Safe Mode ,  dysfunction might be caused by Third-party applications. It's suggested users restart the device and check again whether it's working well or not. 



5. Back up the data and have your phone reset .  Attention : Once you reset your device, all the applications, settings,personal data will be totally removed and return to the status of initialization

 

Inaccurate navigation of GPS

Please refer to the following steps for troubleshooting:

1. GPS might have error owing to the environment  . If your GPS is inaccurate at some specific areas, it might be because of limit of local geographic environment , such as viaduct,small alleys, subway and tall buildings.



2. Insulation paper at front windshield of car might affect the accuracy of GPS. Place GPS device under the dashcam might affect its antenna efficiency.



3. We suggest you also turn on the Cellular Data to have greater accuracy when you use the Navigator . *If you use mobile Data to updates apps , additional charges may be applied depends on your telecommunication operator.



4.Please restart your phone and try to activate the Location again.



5. Update firmware to latest version: Go to Settings > About > System update > Check Update.
