Yes I think compared to many units out there, this is the best low % of red tint you can get. To me It is not very noticeable already. So I say stick with this unit. The worst thing you could do is exchange again and then get one that has lines on it. To me the red tint isn't as bad as grey uniformity issue because it will show up even at peak brightness. So I say be thankful for it.
I am not saying that ASUS should just leave it. I think they can help to tweak the colors a bit to make it a bit better but that is all they can do about it since they have chosen to go with an AMOLED.
I guess I am also not so sensitive when it comes to the red tint and yes I noticed it more after I use another Camera to take the photo.
I have the phone updated and the LED indicator option, as you can see on the following image (it's the last option) never disappeared:
Also I don't see how that option turned on or off can affect the display, when what it does is just enableing/disableing the notification led at the top of the phone.
I will post picture tomorrow. Red tint has been reduced to a great extent but while using some apps like skype the red tint is visible in navigation bar. Hope asus will fix it completely.
I don't think it can be a 100% fixed because this is the nature of Amoled and it is quite hard to ensure 100% consistency during manufacturing process. Some of us may not be experiencing much of the red tint...some of us might...Each unit of Amoled display is different even if they come off the same assembly line.
The only thing Asus can do is to try and manage the colors better with some tweaks..
Anyways I hope the next ROG Phone will make use of a IPS panel instead of Amoled, the colors won't be so vibrant with a IPS. It is a gaming phone so it does not need that much color if you ask me...
Hi, I have noticed when i pull the camera tab on the WhatsApp, the red tint totally disappears for some reason. I believe its related to software otherwise it would never go away like this.

This shows much more red than mine.
Haha this isn't the worst and I think my camera made it more obvious as well, still a great device to me!
Good news guys on Android 10 beta version red tint issue has been almost fixed.

On my phone the red tint didn't got any better or worse. My phone doesn't seem to be effected by this issue as much as others.

I most likely would not have bought this phone if it did not have an amoled panel.
I am on Android 10 (Q) Beta and I dont think the issue is 'ALMOST FIXED' its still there.

When we go to camera mode screen display rate changes to 60Hz, try that on 60Hz, you won't notice any difference.
You are absolutely right.
Yep,@Anders_ASUS please look into this situation,it worked for me too the tint is gone while opening camera
